Stalheimskleiva
Stalheimskleiva is the name of the old road going from the inner parts of "Nærøydalen" and up to the farms "Brekke" and "Stalheim". It is not possible to drive on the road, but you can walk about 1km from the top towards the bottom of the road. The view is indescribable.
...the attraction between the waterfalls!
Stalheimskleiva is one of the steepest roads in Northern Europe, built during 1842-1846. The road has 13 hairpin bends, with Stalheim Hotel located at the top. From here you will get a beautiful view of the road and the Nærøydalen valley, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You can also explore Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen waterfalls, which are located on each side of the road.
