Bømoen, Voss
The area
The trails in Bømoen are wide and well-maintained, covering various distances from 1km to 10km. In addition to these trails, there's a network of paths through the forest, ideal for different outdoor in the summer and winter. Read more about the trails further down on this page.
Military camp
At the heart of Bømoen lies the military camp, consisting of several buildings, most of which are now protected heritage sites. There's a large football field among these buildings, and nearby is the obstacle course from 'Kompani Lauritzen'.
Skydive Voss
Close to the airport, you'll find Skydive Voss, Norway's largest skydiving club. They do about 35,000 jumps a year, and offer both training courses, and tandem skydiving experiences. By the clubhouse you will also find a café and a playground.
Bømoen trails:
The hiking and skiing trails in Bømoen are marked. You can choose trails of 1 km, 2 km, 4 km, 6 km, 7.5 km, or 10 km. Along the trails you will find signs that show how many kilometers it is left.
Green trails: 1 km, 2 km, 4 km.
These are walks in light and mostly flat terrain, the trail goes near Raundalselva.
Blue hiking trails: 5.5 km, 7.5 km, and 10 km.
These tours start as the 4 kilometers, but when approaching the old military camp will continue past the old military hospital and around the airport. The 10 km loop is an extension of the 7.5 km and offers heavier slopes. The surface is also steeper.

Note: During the winter, there are ski runs in Bømoen, but it is often possible to walk in Bømoen until November-December.
